I am a PhD student in literacy education at the University of Minnesota. Through my work with the Minnesota Writing Project, the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and the Center for Writing, I work with undergraduate students and preservice and practicing teachers from a variety of disciplines. It is my work with learners big and small (I used to teach middle school and high school language arts) that inspires me to think about how all of us learn through writing, be it via traditional forms of pen and paper or through images, sound, and motion online .
